Job Title Occupational Therapist (Oswego, Northern Onondaga County) Job Description The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing client assessments using best clinical practices and developing appropriate plans of care. Provide safe therapy interventions to clients/families in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Required Skills and Experience - Currently registered by New York State and the American Occupational Therapy Association and educational standard board as applicable - Current New York State Occupational Therapy license. - Current New York State driver's license and automobile insurance. - Current professional liability insurance - One year experience as an occupational therapist preferred. - Self-directed, organized with the ability to work independently. - Good oral and written communication skills. What You Need to Know - Ensure quality and safe delivery of home health services. - Provide client assessments using best clinical practice. - Develop appropriate plan of care. - Provide safe Occupational therapy interventions to clients/families in accordance with agency policies and procedures. - Maintain client care records using approved documentation and format. - Manage a diverse client caseload. - Assume responsibility for supervision of para professionals relevant to patient care plan - Monitor job performance of home health aides and delivery of home health aide services
