Overview
Job Title Community Engagement Manager Job Description In this role, you will support the Clinical Operations/Social Care team to understand and engage the Charlotte community. You will work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate access to high-value community based organizations (CBOs) and social services agencies to help meet our members’ social needs. Your responsibilities will include identifying community needs and resources, introducing the organization to community leaders, representing the organization in existing community coalitions and assembling a community taskforce, and developing partnerships with community based organizations to further the organization's impact on community health. As our program grows, you’ll contribute to the design of our clinical engagement, ensuring that our community and CBO partnership activities benefit our members, help to address their health and social needs, and are both locally tailored and scalable. Required Skills and Experience - You know the Charlotte community both from a personal and professional perspective, and are committed to improving community health. - You enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects. - You have 5+ years of experience in a highly community-oriented role. - You have experience in project management, taking ideas from conception to launch. - You have a proven track record for working well across teams and with external partners. - You have a process-oriented mindset and ability to execute. - You thrive in independent and fast moving work environments. - You are committed to transforming the quality of healthcare for the most vulnerable populations. (Nice to Have) - Experience with community coalitions and community organizing efforts. - Experience in the healthcare or clinical operations space. - Experience working for a community-based organization. - Working knowledge of North Carolina’s state benefits program. - Unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license and vehicle for daily usage What You Need to Know - Map out community needs and gaps, and local assets related to community health and social services. - End-to-end partnership development for CBO partners, including vetting, contracting, referral workflows, and co-location projects. - Assist with hiring efforts, conduct outreach to members, and facilitate a community-based presence in the Charlotte area. - Build infrastructure and stand up operations around quality monitoring and improvement. - Engage community leaders through existing coalitions, committees, and community initiatives, and pursue unique opportunities for the organization to contribute to community development initiatives. - Plan staff service days and community activities.
