*Job location can be in either Charlotte or the Piedmont Triad.* Job Title Manager, Training & Development Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be a key member of the clinical implementation team responsible for creating the training and development plan for existing and new markets. Therefore, travel to various locations is an ongoing requirement of this role. You will be responsible for the onboarding and orientation of our Social Care Teams, helping them understand our culture and drive learning through our care model. This primarily includes Community Health Partners (CHPs) and Outreach Specialists, our community-based non-clinical team members responsible for engaging with and providing direct services to members who face economic and social challenges, and have multiple behavioral and physical health needs. You will be involved throughout the process, from onboarding to training and ongoing education for this team, both supporting the build of training curriculum and delivering it in real-time. As the Manager of Training and Team Development, you will focus on onboarding, ongoing education and resources, supervision/leadership training, and wellness/burnout prevention. You will build tools to support all aspects of training, including assessments, materials, curriculum management, and logistics. You will lean in to support the development of the organization's Learning and Development strategy as we scale. This role is a critical cornerstone to ensure that the organization continues to hire impactful, mission-aligned community-based team members to radically improve the health of neighborhoods we are serving. Required Skills and Experience - You have a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, public health, sociology or a related field. - You have 3+ years’ experience and expertise in providing training and support to a growing team. - You have expertise in training staff of all levels of healthcare knowledge. - You have the ability to travel periodically to support implementation activities. (Nice to have) - You are a licensed clinician (RN, LPN, LMSW, LCSW, other) with 3+ years’ experience and expertise in providing training and clinical support to large teams. - Experience training or developing curriculum for community health workers or care coordination staff. - Experience personally providing care for a similar population. - Experience in a technology-enabled healthcare setting. - Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles. - Multi-lingual. What You Need to Know - Support clinical implementation activities as we expand to new markets, including operations, planning, training and metrics. - Provide interim managerial/leadership support for new managers in training. - Execute with strong project management skills, including planning and logistics, monitoring work-plans and managing against milestones, knowing what to prioritize and why, knowing who to keep informed, and when to escalate. - Use knowledge of various training methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, role-play, shadowing/mentorship, and workshops. - Support the design of training curriculum for both clinical and non-clinical teams engaging members in the community that is a mix of modalities and settings (role play, in community settings, in office settings, in retreat settings, etc.). This will include, but is not limited to: building culture, elements of longitudinal social care, clinical interventions, leadership, and technology tools.
