Overview
Required skills & experience (the 4 “must haves” to be considered) 1. Bachelor's Degree in related discipline; Master's Degree strongly preferred 2. Minimum of 7 years experience in the discipline and 5 years leadership experience 3. Certification as a Medical Technologist– MT (ASCP), or MLS, or AMT, or NCA 4. Incumbent must have the ability to effectively manage staff, with accountability for 24/ 7 coverage 5. Experience within a teaching hospital is required What you need to know 1. Directs the operational, financial and human resource Functions of the hospital Laboratory, including the Outpatient Phlebotomy area. 2. Will coordinate and report on quality assurance activities for the department 3. Will also perform laboratory analyses on an as-needed basis 4. Work for one of the largest hospital systems in the country famous for keeping a family like culture 5. Live, work and play in one of the most diverse, dynamic cities in the U.S.
