Overview
Required skills & experience (the 5 “must haves” to be considered): 1. Licensed as a Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arkansas. 2. Master’s degree from an accredited College/University in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Education. 3. Knowledge of child and adolescent development and experience in residential treatment for adolescents, and substance abuse and/or sexual abuse/offender treatment certification preferred. 4. Knowledge of theories and techniques of counseling. 5. Understand the range of treatment services provided by the center. What you need to know: o Adequately manage an average caseload of 10-15 residents, providing individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention to residents and their families. o Demonstrate the ability to accurately document progress and interventions in progress notes in a timely and legible manner. o Complete comprehensive psychological assessments, discharge summaries, psychosexual assessments, (as credentialed and when indicated); develop behavioral contracts and special treatment intervention all within established timelines. o The work environment for this position is a residential facility setting.
