Special Chemistry Supervisor

Overview

Required Skills and Experience - Associates Degree or other qualified technical college two year certificate required. - Must hold a valid Tennessee Laboratory License as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT or MLS). - Must have TN Supervisor license or need to be willing to obtain this document asap - ASCP registered. - Maintains appropriate continuing education for certification and licensure. - One year of prior job-related experience preferred. - Must have mass spectrometry experience - Must have leadership experience - We’ll consider someone who has been a team lead if they’re from a high volume reference lab (High volume = 25k+ reqs a night) What You Need to Know - Receive and process specimens according to department protocols. - Assists the Supervisor, Manager and Director with administrative functions such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory. - Produces, interprets and reports accurate and precise test results. - Validates new methods. - Handles CAP surveys. - Addresses client concerns. - Performs instrument maintenance and method troubleshooting.
