Overview
Required Skills and Experience 1. 1-2 years of leadership experience required 2. Licensed in the state for which you applying as a LMFT, LMHC, LISW OR LASW 3. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinical program for the residential facilities in Washington. The Clinical Director provides clinical supervision to therapists and counselors and is responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training of clinical staff, to fill a vacancy or fill a newly created position, in collaboration with and approved by the Executive Director. The Clinical Director conducts 90-day and annual performance evaluations in accordance with clients policies and procedures. 4. The Clinical Director may carry a caseload, in which they fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Family Therapist, which includes facilitating Parent Orientation and Saturday Family Program, along with weekly individual family therapy. The Clinical Director provides training to all newly hired clinicians, as well as ongoing trainings to all clinical staff, in the established training schedule to ensure implementation of established treatment model. The Clinical Director facilitates weekly treatment team meetings and oversees the clinical aspect of discharge and continuing care planning. The Clinical Director assigns and manages caseloads and conducts peer reviews as required by the utilization review department. 5. The Clinical Director is responsible for clinical compliance of medical records by completing weekly audits to ensure quality of clinical documentation and timely submission of documentation, in collaboration with the Director of Compliance. • Deficits are discussed with the clinician, with additional training and support provided when necessary. 6. The Clinical Director may be required to manage crisis situations in the milieu with residents and/or families, as well as provide support to staff for crisis intervention or management and is available 24/7 as back-up for the on-call clinician. 7. The Clinical Director manages the program schedule, in collaboration with the Executive Director, to ensure that the quality of therapeutic programming meets the expectations and standard of the clients clinical model. 8. The Clinical Director may be asked to conduct tours for professionals and prospective parents of the residential properties or represent clients at company-sponsored or community events. 9. The Clinical Director will have a Master's Degree in social work; marriage and family therapy; counseling psychology; or clinical psychology; preferred doctorate in Clinical Psychology or a related field, and be licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, Marriage Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Counselor with at least five years of experience in providing therapeutic services to adolescents and families in a mental health setting, preferably in a residential setting, with specific experience with family therapy. What You Need to Know - Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday two weeks of the month - May carry a caseload, whether to fill a vacancy, manage challenging residents or families or support the clinical team. - Assign caseloads and implements program schedule to coordinate activities of staff in providing therapeutic services. - Conducts peer reviews as required for utilization review. - Intervenes, and assists as needed, clinically with clients and/or families (crises intervention, AWOL risk, special needs, etc.). - On-call 24-hrs. for clinical emergency and consultation as support to on-call clinicians. - Responsible for clinical compliance and chart audits to ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans. - Provides support with discharge planning and continuing care. - Attendance at meetings and participation as an interdisciplinary team member. - Conducts tours with professionals and parents. - Represents client at company-sponsored or community events. - Documentation of services as required by applicable law and regulation, and other duties as assigned to facilitate program success.
