Overview
Required skills & experience • Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Degree program and possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state; Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing preferred • Candidate MUST HAVE experience as a DON or ADON in a long-term care facility • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care • Must have 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, long-term care environment, or other related healthcare facility. Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred • Must lead by example and possess superior customer service skills and professionalism. • Must exhibit flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer driven environment and have interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment, and productivity when working with cross-functional teams, customers, and end users. • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated with high energy level and demonstrate superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills. • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system in PC LAN environment. • Ability to type with speed and accuracy. • Possesses a high degree of personal accountability, responsibility and independent decision making abilities with the skills to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization. What you need to know • Client is wanting LOCAL CANDIDATES • The position is for Bellbrook, the client's senior living community in Rochester Hills, MI. • Client is looking for someone who has experience in Long-Term Care as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or a Nurse Manager of a long-term care unit, ideally with 1-2 years experience. • Client is willing to look at leads with less than 1 year experience
