Overview

MUST-HAVES/WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: • Minimum of 1 year recent acute care Registered Nurse experience required. • Must have and maintain CNOR certification • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California (or ability to obtain) • Must have and maintain current BLS card, required. • ACLS and PALS, is REQUIRED of all experienced Emergency department nurses upon hire start date (experienced in ED within last 2 years). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/POSITION SUMMARY: • The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a Perioperative nurse who works in collaboration with the surgeon and other health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes. • During the assisting phase and until conclusion of the operative procedure the R.N.F.A. is under the direction of the Surgeon. • As needed, the R.N.F.A. may provide patient care by circulating or scrubbing surgical procedures. • The Registered Nurse First Assistant is credentialed through the medical staff as allied health provider.
