Release of Information Supervisor

Overview

Job Requirements: -Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management of related field required or -Associate’s Degree plus 2 additional years of related experience in lieu of bachelor's degree required. -3 years Health Information Management Services or related health care experience required and -Leadership or Supervisor experience in a hospital setting highly preferred. -RHIT – Registered Health Information Technician upon hire required and -RHIA – Registered Health Information Administrator preferred. What you need to know: This position will assist the ROI manager with the overall operations of ROI to include, but not limited to, monitoring and supervising employee tasks, producing and updating department policy and procedures, and interacting with legal departments including responding to subpoenas. This position will need to have advanced knowledge of federal/state HIPAA laws/regulations as they relate to release of protected health information with the ability to keep staff training and updated.
