Overview

EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Required) • Advanced degree as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Nice-to-Have) • Applicable WV license as determined by experience qualifications - Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/MUST-HAVES (JOB DETAILS): • Four (4) years clinical experience. • Two (2) years management or administrative experience • Two (2) years of Direct Operating Room clinical experience • Applicable WV license • Previous experience as super user for Epic application(s) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • OR consists of 12 rooms + 5 endo. • Pain clinic (6 rooms) will be opening soon and they have another 3 rooms opening in 2020. • Will not need to scrub in, unless it is an emergency. • Their cases consist of Mainly Neuro, Ortho (lots of Spine) eye and ENT, no open hearts JOB ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manages personnel to ensure the availability of an appropriately credentialed, clinically competent, well developed cohesive work force to meet patient care needs. • Assists in the development and implementation of on-going educational programs for professional and support staff which include new employee orientation, in-service continuing education, and new equipment and/or systems training which enables the staff to perform on the basis of current policy/procedures and state-of-the-art practices. • Performs on-going written performance reviews according to hospital policy. Provides ongoing feedback to employees concerning job performance. Counsels and disciplines employees, under the direction of the Director • Serves as super user for Epic application and education of staff • Acts in the absence of the Director • Works proactively with director, medical staff, and others to identify areas in need of evaluation or modification in order to protect, maintain or enhance clinical practice. • Facilitates program plan development identifying recommendations for change, cost analysis and justifications POSITION SUMMARY: • Manages, coordinates, and evaluates all elements of financial, material and human resources in the provision of nursing care to assigned groups of patients in accordance with the service and missions of the institution.
