Must haves to be considered: 1.) Must have a current Oregon Nurse Practitioner licensure 2.) Must have a DEA 3.) Must have a minimum 2 years experience functioning as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, preferably in geriatrics but not required 4.) Must be comfortable in an inpatient setting Geriatric Inpatient - Psych NP Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM NO CALL Start date: ASAP - Ongoing assignment Travel/Lodging: ALL paid for by client Patient Volume: Seeing 5-10 patients per day 10 total beds in unit EMR: MediTech The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) works collaboratively with the Senior Behavioral Health Unit (SBHU) care team to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, and provide patient and family education. The NP will document in patient medical record in accordance with the statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession as well as the medical staff bylaws. The NP works under the supervision of the Medical Director and the SBHU Manager. Essential Job Functions: Provides fully integrative behavioral health services to the patients in the SBHU. Provide diagnostic evaluation and collaborative intervention between the therapy team and the medical director. 1 hour outside Portland, OR.
