Overview
Must haves to be considered: 1.) Must be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant 2.) Must possess valid Texas driver’s license 3.) Must have a High School Diploma or GED 4.) Must have at least two years’ experience in nursing in an acute or long-term care setting 5.) Must commit to a minimum of 13 week assignment 6.) Must have CPR cert. Interview process: One phone call, then offer. Very simple process. Length of Assignment: Commitment of at least 13 weeks ONGOING need Schedule: 3 positions 6/2 rotating shift w/weekends 3 positions 2/10 rotating shift w/weekends 2 positions 10/6 rotating shift w/weekends Position details: - The CNA works in establishing and maintaining an environment that is therapeutic for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. - Performs routine and emergency care, treatment, and training for specified individuals and in crisis situations. - Keeps the environment clean and assists with the development of safety, hygiene, self-care, social and interaction skills. - Accurately document individuals’ behavior(s) throughout the daily schedule, including response to home activities, home training and unusual incidents. - Completion of work requires use of simple and/or routine duties, while decision making is based on simple and well-defined guidelines. - Maintains a positive attitude, meets applicable external standards i.e., ICF-IID. - May work under supervision of RN or LVN. - May perform other duties as assigned. - Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
