Overview
Required skills & experience - Doctor of Medicine Degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required with current /active licensure in the State of Michigan without limitations. Advanced degree, such as MBA, MHA, MPH, MMM, or a related field beneficial but not required. - Current/ Active Board Certification in specialty area as approved by the American Board of Medical Specialists or the American Board of Osteopathy - Combination of clinical experience and medical education will be a strong considerations. Up to date Continuous Medical Education (CME) will be a consideration. - 5–7 or more years of experience in an active clinical practice in adult and or geriatric medicine. Practice experience with complex health and care management issues with the senior population is beneficial. - Health care practice and clinical experience with exposure to the Medicare Advantage population and environment is beneficial What you need to know - The Physician Consultant conducts member case reviews, does research and works collaboratively with regional nurse teams that include: Pharmacists, Social Workers, Behavioral Health Specialists and Dietitians. - Needs to have current knowledge of coding principles or equivalent program that includes knowledge of ICD-10 CM coding systems/methodology. - This is a Full-Time opportunity with awesome company benefits and potential bonus structure. - 40% of this position will be in office, 60% will be in the field working with interdisciplinary teams.
