Overview

Must haves to be considered: 1.) Must be a Psychiatric Nurse Assistant 2.) Must have direct care experience 3.) Must be bilingual (english and Spanish) 4.) Must possess valid Texas driver’s license 5.) Must have a High School Diploma or GED PNA = Psychiatric Nurse Assistant Pay rate range: $10-$15/hr - all inclusive Candidate will have to pay for their own expenses within the pay rate they're given. Interview process: One phone call, then offer. Very simple process. Length of Assignment: Commitment of at least 3 months Begin immediately thru (to be determined by needs at the Facility) - this is due to COVID-19 Schedule: 24 hours per day, seven days per week possibility **These are flexible schedules 12 hour shifts varies: 1st shift – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. 2nd shift – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to include weekends Time is allowed during the shift for a 30-minute, unpaid meal break Overtime Pay: Overtime is not approved for this position Open to Full-time and part-time PNA's Position details: ***This position is located within Mental Health Units. - Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. - The Mental Health Worker performs entry level work in establishing and maintaining an environment that is therapeutic and developmental for persons with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and / or physical disorders in the Mental Health Units. - Performs direct patient care work helping those who are inpatient in their habilitation or rehabilitation efforts. - Keeps environment clean. - Assists with treatment programs and other therapies as directed. - Assists with development of safety, social, hygiene, self-care and interactional skills. Converses with patients / residents to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction. - Maintains a positive attitude
