Overview
Required skills & experience (the 6 “must haves” to be considered): 1. Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of MO or Compact Licensure State. 2. Master's degree in Healthcare Management or Nursing (Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing, Mental Health Nursing preferred); or currently in process of obtaining Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3. Minimum of five (5) years prior experience in patient care services. 4. Minimum of five (5) years experience in the behavioral healthcare setting and 2-3 years of leadership experience. 5. Current BLS certification upon hire or BLS certification must be obtained during orientation period or at next available scheduled class. Throughout employment, current BLS certification must be maintained by renewal during renewal period or at next available scheduled class. What you need to know: • Responsible for the planning, direction, implementation and evaluation of Nursing Services for the Behavioral Health facility. • Develops operational and capital budgets; develops long and short term goals and policies and procedures for the department. • Oversees administrative functions and staff. • Is a resource person to nursing staff. • Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral. • Coordinates the performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.
