Must haves to be considered.... 1.) Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist 2.) Must have a California medical license or already be in the process of attaining one 3.) Must have an active DEA at time of start date 4.) Must get a Suboxone waiver with the client, or already have one 5.) Must be acceptable to working in a collaborative environment 6.) Provider must be open to a locum-to-perm opportunity Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic (IBH) Length of assignment: 6 months - Possible permanent option Schedule: 5/8's OR 4/10's - FLEXIBLE schedule Position details: Average of 8 patients per day All visits are scheduled, 20% are canceled per day. 45-60 minute evals: Average of 1 per day - possibly 1-2 per week 15-30 minute follow-ups: Average of 5-6 per day EMR: Epic All adult Cases: Mild to moderate mental illness Depression, anxiety, eating disorder, maybe some bi-polar The IBH psychiatrist is a member of the 20+ person IBH team, which consists of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists and certified drug and alcohol counselors. The team is embedded in a County-run primary care clinic (which is an FQHC). Psychiatrist duties will include psychiatric evaluations of patients, providing consultation to other members of the IBH team, as well as to primary care providers. You will also have an opportunity to participate in collaborative team meetings and case conferences on a regular basis. The community of patients are mostly dual diagnosis patients, many of them homeless. Your job will be to initiate treatment when appropriate and to refer back to primary care for ongoing medication management of stable patients.
