Overview
Required skills & experience (the 5 “must haves” to be considered) 1. Must be certified as a Peer Recovery Specialist. 2. Background in substance use and addiction populations 3. Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial Insurance practices 4. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. 5. Self-Starter mentality. Peer Recovery Specialist will be in charge of creating their own weekly schedule with their clients (Full time schedule is seeing 25-30 clients each week). What you need to know • Working in an office located in Converse, TX (Sage). • Clinician will meet clients directly in the Sage office or they will travel out in the field to meet clients where they're at (home, business, coffee shop, etc.) • Peer Advocates serve as a role-model for individuals facing substance exposed living and are in varying phases of recovery. • Identifies individual client needs and documents intervention based on relationship and assessment. • Provides support to clients through variety of settings and assists with support groups, as needed. • Contributes to case conferences to ensure team approach is delivered for each client. • Completes documentation for client contacts, touches, cancellations and care plan based on company policies.
