Registered Nurse, Hospice

Overview

Required skills & experience 1. Registered Nurse with a current nursing licensure (TN) 2. Knowledge of or willingness to learn hospice care 3. Minimum one year nursing practice or equivalent experience required 4. Hospice, Oncology, MedSurg, Cardiac and/or long-term care strongly preferred ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Educates patients and/or families in disease process, hospice care, and signs/symptoms of approaching death. 2. Exemplifies high level of written oral and listening communication skills, always respecting patient confidentiality. 3. Visits patients/families in their place of residence to assess for appropriateness of service. 4. Full-time night shift, part of the Home Care team in the Murfreesboro area.
