Recreational Therapist

Overview

Required skills & experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution required. 2. “CTRS” (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) credentialed preferred. 3. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. 4. Experience working in a long term care or hospital setting. 5. Experience with elderly population. 6. Must be 21 years or older. What you need to know: 1. Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, full-time day shift within skilled nursing facility. 2. Plan course of treatment to address needs areas by writing individualized goals for the resident. 3. Assist nursing staff and other disciplines as needed. 4.
