Required Qualifications: -Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. -Experience:1 year of relevant experience. -Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. What you need to know: The Medical ICU is a 28-bed adult ICU that provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care to critically ill patients. Nurse to patient ratios are based on acuity but are typically 1:2. The unit employs nearly 100 nurses with over 750 years of combined experience.
