Overview
Indian Health Service Facility needs an ER RN to hit the ground running for an initial 4-6 week contract in North Eastern Oklahoma. Team players needed! This need is URGENT. Providing emergency health care services to patients of all ages for ER Unit of 17 Beds, Urgent Care unit of 31 Beds, and 3:1 staffing ratio with 4:1 at night. Must Work Day shift. 0730 to 2000 with alternating weekends *Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying and interpreting serious situations, prioritizing, and immediately deciding upon and taking proper action. *Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when the physician is not immediately available. *Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, cardiac monitors and other specialized equipment. *Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician such as medications and IV therapy that alter hemodynamic status, respiratory therapy, mechanical ventilation, etc. *Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines. *Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepares written assignments to individual team members., matching the skills and abilities of staff to the care requirements of patients. *Plan and develop care delivery and implementation of the plan and coordinates the documentation of care. *Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment as well as general upkeep of the unit and in preserving a safe environment. Schedule: 12 hour shifts (7:30 to 8 for Days & Nights) Must have a minimum of 3 years experience Must have an Oklahoma or Compact RN License Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task Good written and verbal communication skills Meet pre-employment credentialing clearances (Background Check, Drug Screen, etc.) Ability to meet physical demands (stand; walk; sit; climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl), and lift up to 50lbs
