Overview
Required skills & experience: • 2+ years in a behavioral healthcare facility or clinic setting, 5+ years managing outpatient clinics • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare • Ability to problem solve in a proactive, creative manner while meeting deadlines • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, experience managing office, credentialing, and billing staff • Experience communicating with and serving physicians, therapists, and peers • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Advanced skills using practice management and EMR software, telehealth platforms, and insurance verification systems Preferred: • Prior leadership or management experience in substance use clinic • Experience with TherapyNotes and Salesforce.com • Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial Insurance practices What you need to know • This role requires an individual who is a natural leader, someone who is enthusiastic, service-oriented, resourceful, and results driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. • The Practice Manager will provide active leadership, direction, team management and administration of Texas operations, currently based out of our Social Services office. • Actively supervises staff; develops, plans and schedules workflow, implements and monitors approved policies and procedures • Plans, develops, organizes, implements and directs the day-to-day functions and activities to ensure regulatory and legal compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction • Manage staff performance including interviewing and training new staff; supervising, coaching/counseling office staff daily; and leading by example, modeling a healthy office environment and communication • Manages team members and the financial process of the revenue cycle, utilizing billing software, including credentialing and tracking client episodes from registration and appointment scheduling to the final payment of a balance • Responsible for overall operations management.
