Overview
Required skills & experience: 1. Registered Nurse with a current nursing licensure (TN). 2. Knowledge of or willingness to learn hospice care. 3. Minimum one year nursing practice or equivalent experience preferred, but not required. 4. Hospice, Oncology, MedSurg, Cardiac and/or long-term care preferred. What you need to know: 1. Educates patients and/or families in disease process, hospice care, and signs/symptoms of approaching death. 2. Exemplifies high level of written oral and listening communication skills, always respecting patient confidentiality. 3. Communicates and supports agency mission and values in all professional interactions. 4. Full-time night schedule at 30-bed facility offering residential hospice and general inpatient hospice.
