Enrollment Specialist

Overview

Required skills & experience: • 1+ years of insurance verification experience • Ability to problem solve in a proactive, creative manner while meeting deadlines • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be flexible to changing needs • Excellent communication skills, customer service oriented • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license • Computer proficiency using electronic medical records and SharePoint; must be able to type and navigate a Cloud-based environment and designated teleconferencing application • Experience in an outpatient clinic Preferred: • Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial Insurance practices • Experience in a behavioral health setting What you need to know: • Greet patients and process copayments, capture signatures on HIPAA forms • Answer the phone • Ensure counselors have the necessary forms for their sessions daily • Process referrals in a timely and accurate manner, email, or mail intake packets • Verify Insurance at time of referral and before appointments the following day • At time of referral, schedule new referrals with full time therapists if possible • Send appointment reminders – 48 hours via email, text within 24 hours • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance during work hours • Other duties as assigned
