Job Requirements: Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish) Graduate from a standard Senior High School or GED equivalent. Work experience, preferably direct care and/or therapy experience. Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Demonstrate ability to communicate efficiently and professionally in both written and oral form. What you need to know: Ability to establish positive working relationships with residents based on dignity and respect. History of establishing positive, cooperative working relationships with co-workers. Ability to effectively communicate information (oral, written) to others. Ability to type documents effectively via the computer. Effective organization skills. Ability to plan, implement and monitor classroom and community activities. Ability to effectively utilize applicable computer programs and e-mail. Ability to attend work regularly and punctually as scheduled. Ability to understand and abide by all policies and procedures applicable to job duties. Knowledge of and adherence to all policies and procedures related to maintaining confidentiality. Ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and SUR. Ability to follow facility shelter-in-place and hurricane evacuation policies and procedures.
