Overview

Role Description The People Operations Specialist will be a critical role in our People Operations (or HR) team and will be responsible for coordinating and executing initiatives to drive process improvement/efficiency, empower employees, facilitate day-to-day work life, and overall support growing and strengthening the organization. This work will include detailed & confidential information, making a high level of accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness imperative. The position will report to the Head of People Operations/HR and responsibilities will include: • People operations process improvement: Use best practice research, data, and employee feedback to improve practices and processes, driving employee engagement and organizational effectiveness • Talent acquisition: Recruitment and hiring process with activities including but not limited to developing target profiles, sourcing, posting, coordination of interviewing, support with background checks and employee verification, and overall helping to support a growing team • Employee engagement: Employee engagement and feedback processes like committees, surveys, and other associated projects. • Learning and development: Connect teams and employees with functional and technical learning through research, communication, and coordination • Benefits: Employee benefits program including working with brokers, insurance carriers, and other external liaisons, helping employees resolve benefits related questions, and managing benefits systems, logistics, and statements • Compliance: Validate data integrity in systems, support routine reporting and auditing, ensure accuracy of employee records, support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and assist with revising policies and practices to maintain compliance • Employee relations: Provide support to organization on various HR-related topics • Performance Management: Assist with the performance management process with technology coordination, timeline communication, resources, and analytics • Performs other projects as assigned Position Requirements (MUST HAVE'S) • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources overall • Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment • Experience managing employee data in an HRIS and/or recruitment processes through an ATS is preferred • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and processes simultaneously, a continuous improvement mindset, and a client/customer-oriented approach • Bachelor’s degree required • A passion for natural food and healthy eating as well as a desire to change the way we think about ingredient labels
