Infrastructure Security Engineer

Overview

Required skills & experience: • 3-5 years of applicable experience • Proven ability to script/program using development languages (Python required. Ruby will be considered too, but need Python.) • Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2 • Experience working in healthcare or other highly regulated industries • Collaborates, influences and built consensus through teamwork • Solutions through incorporating data into decision making • Adapt to changing situations and expectations and demonstrates ability to make rational solutions What you need to know: • Partner with technology operations to ensure and maintain highly available systems and services • Develop solutions for complex technical infrastructure as a part of a cross-functional team • Drive the next generation of security offerings as part of overall strategy for HIPAA controls • Investigate, engineer, deploy, troubleshoot, & support technologies to monitor network and host systems for cyber threats and alert incident response • Perform system and application tuning for maximum effectiveness and minimizing false notifications • Improving infrastructure operations and security posture through better use of monitoring, and automation scripting • Improving security infrastructure governance and processes • To help remediate tough technical support issues in both cloud and hybrid environment • Troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (i.e. applications to infrastructure) • Analyzing general system processing throughput, utilization, and capacity
