Overview
Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer in the Greater Minneapolis area to join our growing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development of firmware for our proprietary hardware devices. Working with the Lead Firmware Engineer and product management, you will use your exceptional technical competency and deep understanding of software, firmware and hardware processes to create IoT products at the vanguard of the Built Environment. Top "Must-Have" Skills for this job: • 4+ years of professional experience in Firmware Development in C and C++ • Other designed languages include Python, Bash, Shell, Scripting, VHDL, Verilog • Experience designing, architecting, coding, and testing of embedded firmware projects • Hands-on experience with developing firmware for low power battery powered IoT Devices • Ability to develop code on ARM Microcontrollers (ie: Atmel, Nordic, ST, PIC, SiLabs, TI) • Experience in RF protocols (like Zigbee, Bluetooth and 900 MHz mesh network) • Previous HVAC/Controls experience (nice to have) • Familiarity with IoT platforms, evolving communication standards and sensors • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (required) Selling Points: • Fully Paid Benefits (Medical, Dental, and Vision) • 401K Options • Flexible PTO • Continuous Learning Programs • Incentive Stock Options • And much more! *Schedule: Fulltime | Monday – Friday, 8-5pm CST | Onsite
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Firmware Development in C and C++ (4+ years)
- Do you have experience developing firmware for low power battery-powered IoT devices?
- Do you have expertise designing, architecting, coding and testing of embedded firmware projects with RF and microcontrollers?
- Do you have experience developing code on ARM microcontrollers (Atmel, Nordic, ST, PIC, SiLabs, TI)?

- Python
- BASH
- Shell

- VHDL
- Verilog
- C
- C++
- Do you have HVAC/controls experience?
