Overview

Required skills and experience: • Minimum Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing. BSN from accredited school of nursing within 3 years of hire; MSN a plus. • Certification/Licensure: Equipment/Software/Certification: MA RN license and BLS required; ACLS a plus. AACN or other nursing certification strongly preferred. • Five years nursing experience preferred; previous supervisory experience preferred. For specialty areas, related experience and or certification may be required. • Able to support and mentor staff, promote outstanding customer service, encourage interdisciplinary/interdepartmental collaboration and contribute to the collegial governance process. What you need to know: • The Nurse Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating patient care and daily unit operations. The Nurse Manager also assists the Director with hiring, orienting, and scheduling staff; performance improvement projects; and other duties as assigned. The Nurse Manager participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes and may provide direct patient care as needed. •Leads unit, department or hospital committee/projects that result in operational improvements •Assumes responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Unit Director •Oversees the scheduling of staff to ensure fair, adequate and appropriate shift coverage based on the staffing grid, staff requests and the needs of the unit Interview process: -Call with recruiter -Video Call with hiring manager/clinical director -onsite interview
