Overview
Required skills and experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required. 2. One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred. 3. Registered Dietitian in Missouri or Registry eligible (must obtain Dietitian Registry within one year of internship completion) What you need to know: 1. Full-time opportunity with 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday shift. 2. Works 50% of time with out-patient needs and assists with diabetes education, works 50% time with inpatient dietitian needs. 3. On call/remote work one weekend a month. Interview process: 1. Phone screen with Head of Talent Acquisition at Phelps. 2. Additional job details: -Assesses patient nutritional status and formulates a nutrition care plan to make recommendations to physician and/or multi-disciplinary team. -Provides nutritional education for in-patients, out-patients, community and staff to ensure comprehension. -Notifies the Director of Food Service of any problems related to patient feeding, supplemental and tube feeding needs, cooperation with nursing staff and physicians, non-compliance issues and changes to regulatory codes, policies and procedures, and areas of concern regarding the well-being and care of a patient. -Participates in performance improvement measures of the department by monitoring patient tray line and participating with patient test trays. -Assists with the administration associated with nutritional care, compliance to regulatory agencies, and development of clinical nutrition policies and procedures.
