Overview
Required skills and experience: • Responsible for the budget and other key performance indicators such as admissions, recertifications, HHRG, etc. • Collaborates with our partners with quality and process measures relating to star ratings, hospital utilization and patient satisfaction • Adheres to the organizations policies and procedures within Medicare and federal guidelines • Interaction with individuals (internal clinical teams, patient family member, physician, etc.) as applicable via phone, email and/or face to face concerning patient care • Assumes accountability for documentation and clinical charting practices in accordance with agency protocol and Medicare/Federal/State guidelines • Review all policies and procedures for compliance with local, state and federal regulations • Implement policy, procedures and quality improvement programs in the field • Monitors patient trends and outcomes • Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in field of expertise • Maintains a professional appearance and Cultural Fit as a representative of the company • Understands and practices agency policies and procedures • Directly supervises the Director, Nursing and indirectly supervises the field staff and clinical support • Interviewing, hiring, training and termination of department personnel • Provides consistent coaching and provides challenge and opportunity to direct reports • Supervises direct reports with consistency and clarity of expectations • Completes yearly evaluations in an accurate and timely manner • Performs coaching, counseling and discipline as needed • Works with direct reports to ensure employee satisfaction and resolution of issues and concerns • Conducts employee performance reviews • Other duties as assigned What you need to know: • This position requires a Registered Nurse in the state of employment • A minimum of five years of supervisory or administrative experience in home healthcare, or related health programs • Expertise and Homecare background for multiple sites preferred • Knowledge of guideline governing home health agencies • Ability to create positive impressions and maintain effective communication with a variety of people • Knowledgeable on nursing best practices • Ability to identify a situation and handle it with the best possible solution • Detail-oriented and observant • Strong ability to multi-task and be adaptable as priorities change throughout the day • Operational knowledge of HCHB software, PDA’s, ADP, Microsoft Office & Outlook preferred • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
