IT Network Specialist

Overview

Required skills and experience: •Education / Certifications:Related field experience (2 years) required, or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science •Experience will be considered in place of a degree •Experience with instrument management middleware administration is preferred •Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences •Must have demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems with minimal direction •Excellent interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, peers, and management •Must be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment •Knowledge in basic principles of laboratory workflow considered a plus •Experience with Laboratory Information System implementation a plus •Experience with Electronic Medical/Health Record (EMR or EHR) Systems interfacing is a plus (HL7) •Strong Documentation and Organizational skills What you need to know: The Computer Network Support Specialist analyzes, tests, troubleshoots and evalutes existing network systems such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and miscellaneous internet systems or other segments of the network system. Additionally, this positions performs network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
