Full Cycle Medical Biller

Overview

Required skills and experience: 1. 2+ years of recent full cycle medical billing experience required, preferably in an women’s health care 2. High School diploma or GED required 3. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen 4. Accountability to Practice 5. Computer literacy ability to use EHR – clinical and billing systems and Office software 6. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT and ICD coding 7. Ability to type and spell accurately 8. Skill in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports 9. Ability to work in busy, fast-paced environment What you need to know: 1. Full-time positions currently in Thornton but will be moving to the Interlocken area around the beginning of June. 2. The Medical Billing/AR Specialist ensures timely billing of all claims, payment posting, claims follow up, resubmittal of denied claims and other necessary follow up to ensure maximum payment. Interview process: 1. Microsoft Teams video interview 2. Video interview with the Director, maybe a few more members of leadership 3. Follow up on claims and resubmit denied claims. 2. Follow up with insurance to ensure payment and proper processing. 3. Follow up on every "no payment" EOB with the Biller and Management to take corrective action to obtain full payment. 4. Work on Accounts Receivable aging reports. 5. Post Payments into EMR from both insurance and patients. 6. Post payments to each account for the specific service according to the practice management system procedures for accurate AR.
