Overview

Required skills and experience: 1. High school graduate or equivalent required. 2. Certified as a Medical Assistant in the state of CO or equivalent experience. 3. Knowledge of data entry systems and computer skills. 4. Knowledge of medical terminology. 5. Ability to demonstrate professional work behavior by following guidelines as established by policies and procedure. 6. Strong customer service skills. 7. 2-3 years' experience in an OBGYN setting is required. What you need to know: 1. Full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits package. 2. Additional job details: • Welcome patients by greeting them when escorting them to their exam room. • Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit. • Perform preliminary physical tests (take blood pressure, weight, height and temperature) and record information in patient chart • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential. • Counsel patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery. • Educate patients by providing medication and diet information and instructions; answering questions. • Update and maintain all digital client records. • Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
