Medical Billing Support Associate

Overview We’re looking to hire a Medical Billing Associate to assist with our accounts payable functions. This is a ground level opportunity at a fast growing start-up! Who We Are 26% of adult Americans suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder, but access to care and finding the right provider is challenging, time-consuming, and costly. We are on a mission to simplify mental health services. In 20 years we’ll think it was absurd that our healthcare system ever treated the physical separate from the mental. We are on the cutting edge of a healthcare transformation and we will lead the way by opening wide the front door (national telebehavioral access) and caring for the full patient, especially those with chronic conditions. We are an advocate for both patients and providers. For providers, we provide an out of the box private practice, handling all of the billing, credentialing, marketing, and administrative duties. For patients, we make it easy to find a world class mental health provider that’s covered by their insurance. We're at an early stage and building out best-in-class product, process, and team to ensure that one day our vision is reality. Job Requirements * Minimum of two (2) years accounts receivable experience handling financial/customer transactions, preferably in a medical practice or health system * Customer service experience, preferably responding to phone calls & emails * Foundational understanding of health insurance, coverage components, and terminology * High level of comfort with learning new software * A combination of education and experience will be considered. * Prior experience with an electronic medical record system a plus. Preferred * Familiar with Advanced MD or other medical billing software * Familiarity with medical billing preferred * Familiarity with Zendesk or other customer support tools
