Overview
The Shipping Crew Lead will have direct responsibility to lead the assigned shift in completing the daily goals set forth by the Warehouse Operations Manager. He/she will use strategic thinking and skills of delegation to assign tasks to Shipping Associates to ensure the team’s success for the day. They will ensure crew members are engaged and invested in company goals and metrics, he/she will foster and contribute toward the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. They will ensure and uphold policies and guidelines using on-the-job training and documented coaching/disciplinary procedures. Original Categories: Team: Shipping & Receiving Department: Plant, Production, & Operations Commitment: Full Time Location: Springfield, MO What You'll do •Assist in managing the schedule laid out by the Warehouse Operations Manager •Set daily objectives and communicate to employees •Ensure all appropriate KPI communication reaches all Shipping Associates •Guide the crew to align with the strategy for 100% attainment in both picking accuracy and loading/unloading time What you bring to the table: • Two to four years related experience or equivalent. • Strong inventory control skills. • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
