Overview
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for defining and executing world class accounting and financial reporting practices, internal controls, and adherence to GAAP and SOX Compliance. Working closely with crew members across the organization you’ll provide technical accounting guidance that impacts the framework of controls for the entire company, helping us streamline processes and software solutions, so that we can spend less time tabulating the data and spend more time connecting the data dots for real-time decision making. -Review monthly account analyses and reconciliations prepared by the Accounting team -Participate in development and tracking of capital and operating budgets -Analyze internal control compliance gaps and make recommendations for improvements -Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP standards and/or regulatory rules, including implementation of any changes -Recording of entries associated with Available for Sale Securities -SEC Reporting related to 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K and other filings as required Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required -At least 5 years’ experience in leading a team -5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing with a public company and experience with Big 4 accounting firm a plus -Experience with preparation of GAAP financial reports -MS office skills, including Word and Excel, a must; experience with NetSuite a plus -Excellent written and verbal communication skills
