Overview
State- Iowa Position – Medical Director Facility Type – 16 Bed Geri Unit Current Census – 6 patients Average Length of Stay – 7 days Duties: You will be acting as the Medical Director of Psychiatry for a hospital psych unit and responsible for the direction and oversight of psychiatric evaluations, medications, and medical management, as well as coordination with the treatment team Video (ZOOM) conference with patients, who have non-emergency medical needs, from your remote, secure location once a week Interdisciplinary Team Rounding (IDT) via ZOOM 1x per week to be completed no later than 11am. Rounding on the unit via Zoom 1x per week to be completed no later than 11am. Evaluate and complete notes via EMR system within 24 hours Collaboration with 2-3 Psych NP's. What You'll Need/Your Qualifications: Have an active license for Iowa Board Certified Clean NPDB Updated CAQH preferred DEA for Iowa Previous Telehealth experience is preferred.
