Overview
Required Skills and Experience: 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting or finance, required. 2. Experience: Two+ years work experience in Accounting or Finance specifically with preparation of financial statements; working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 3. Experience: Strong preference for knowledge of government funding grant reporting requirements, budgeting, OMB Circulars, and nonprofit experience. 4. Previous audit experience a plus. 5. Extensive experience with computerized accounting system; working knowledge of Abila (previously MIP/ SAGE) accounting software and Adaptive Insights budgeting tool a plus. 6. Must have financial statement experience. 7. Must have strong written communication skills. What You Need to Know: 1. This is a full-time, remote position but must reside within Southern California. 2. Seeking folks with strong and effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 3. It will take about 6 months to 1 year to fully train for this position. 4. Competitive compensation package with a robust benefit package! Additional Job Duties: 1. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual reports to funder. This includes invoices, financials statements, and other supporting documentation related to the reports that are requested; 15% 2. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to program management including: financial statements, projections, and other analysis as requested; meet with GM Supervisor to discuss results on regular basis; assist with presenting results to program management; 15% 3. Create and maintain reports in AI as required to manage grants assigned; work with GM Supervisor and FP&A for grants assigned; 15% 4. Regularly review general ledger transactions for accuracy. Complete adjusting journal entries as deemed necessary; 10%
