Our client is the leading provider of environmental services and byproduct sales to the power generation industry. They assist utilities and independent power producers in sustainably managing and recycling ash byproducts generated from the combustion of coal in the production of electricity. With over 30 years of experience, they also design and implement solutions for ash pond management and closure, landfill construction, fly ash sales, and structural fill projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • working as a contruction foreman or superintendent role
  • Trimble GPS
  • the deisgn, uses, repair, and maintenance or machines and tools
  • training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees
  • communicating job expectations; planning; executing
  • monitoring/controlling
  • appraising job contributions
  • recommending compensation actions
  • evaluating and monitoring sub-contractors performance

Overview

Required Skills & Experience: 1. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Construction Foreman or Superintendent role required. 2. Knowledge of Trimble GPS required. 3. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 4. Previous work-related skill, knowledge, and/or experience are required. 5. High School diploma or equivalent is required. 6. Project Management Certification or equivalent may be required based on the scope of the project managed. 7. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Work Environment & Conditions: 1. This position requires a flexible work schedule: nights, weekends and holidays 2. Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time 3. Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction 4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds 5. Be subject to loud noises 6. Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation 7. This position requires working in the internal and external environment 8. Ability to work independently, as a team, and team leader 9. Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment 10. Act independently and originate new procedures and new approaches to problems 11. Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; driving production, ensuring quality, and upholding customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying improvements. 2. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing Charah safety standards and procedures; complying with, and enforcing, OSHA, MSHA and DOT codes and regulations. 3. Understand construction drawings, specifications, permits and layouts. 4. Understands and adheres to project budget specifications, project schedules and production demands. 5. Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning; executing; monitoring/controlling, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. 6. Assists with managing sub-contractors; evaluating and monitoring their performance. 7. Ability to operate Heavy Equipment is imperative in training and evaluating performance. 8. Ability to act independently and to originate new procedures and new approaches to problems. 9. Ability to maintain initiative to maintain the flow of work.
