About the Position: Payroll/Onboarding Specialist The Payroll and Onboarding Specialist will assist the Human Resources and Recruiting teams to effectively and efficiently execute payroll and new hire onboarding functions. In addition to achieving goals established by management to support strategic plan objectives. Duties/Responsibilities Payroll: · Update and validate Master Employee Records · Interface with state and federal agencies to meet legal requirements to apply and report on garnishments, new hire reporting, and inquiries. · Generate manual payments · Maintain awareness of relevant changes in payroll, legislative and tax regulations by consistently attending relevant trainings and testing in order to implement changes · Collecting timesheet data and payroll information · Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs · Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc · Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits · Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions · Preparing and distributing income statements · Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns · Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations · Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes · Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management Onboarding: · Prepares and executes onboarding processes for all new hires · Tracks and follows up to confirm all onboarding training has been completed · Sending external employee’s agreements, offer letters, and contracts. · Crafts and sends emails with information about the position, orientation schedules and orientation information · Prepares onboarding kits and ensures new hires have the proper equipment and systems access · Schedules onboarding clinic shadow shifts for new employees and communicates these updates with our care teams · Creates and presents onboarding materials, such as benefit enrollment details, to new hires. · Partners with HR and Talent to continuously refine a seamless candidate onboarding experience with a strong focus on the candidate's first day and week · Providing administrative support to external and internal employees · Answering and directing incoming phone calls · Assist Payroll department to ensure consultant timesheets are in on time and correct. · Assist in the communication between Human Resources, Operations and Recruiter teams by sitting on calls/meetings and being able to answer questions as needed. · Assisting with projects as needed for the HR and Recruiting Team Required Skills/Abilities · Most of the responsibilities of this role are trainable, but an intermediate to high level of proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word is highly desired. · People successful in this role must be able to work independently with minimal direction and supervision. · Ability to be proactive, prioritize work and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. · Strong grammar, writing skills and comfortability speaking to consultants on phones. · Detail-oriented self-starter. · Experience in a fast paced, efficiency focused environment is a plus. Education and Experience · Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field required
