• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Working in a manufacturing setting (7+ years)

• Do you hold Indiana Class D Wastewater? If, not are you willing to obtain one in year?
• Do hold any of the following certifications? If, so which ones? PE, CSP, CIH, CHMM

Overview

Required skills and experience: *BA/BS degree in a related field (Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety), with MS being preferred. *A minimum of 7 years experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in EHS or related field. * Professional certifications (PE, CSP, CIH, CHMM) are highly desirable. *Must have excellent analytical and communication skills and ability to work independently. *Must have experience leading teams, projects and training. *Strong and varied computer skills (MS office applications, AutoCAD, Visio) desired. *Prefers Indiana Class D wastewater or willing to obtain within a year. *Prefers a Hazwoper certification. What you need to know: *Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices, environmental aspects and impacts and sources of regulatory liability, property loss and security breaches *Implement consistent Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) systems, including control designs, methods, procedures and programs, and especially EHSS Best Practices *Administer, advise and implement/update systems at Greensburg location based on applicable legal and voluntary codes, rules, best practices and/or conformance standards *Measure, audit and evaluate the effectiveness of: Occupational safety, Environmental management, Ergonomics, Fire prevention/protection, Industrial hygiene, Workplace injury, illness and incident causation, Worker’s Compensation claim management, workplace medical/health and security *Identify the need for, design, build and deliver necessary EHSS education and systems to Greensburg customers *Maintain responsible charge for our Class D wastewater treatment facility. Additional job details: The Safety Manager at Greensburg works with 400+ employees and responsibility for managing the worker’s compensation third party administrators along with IDEM and IOSHA compliance. This position manages occupational safety, environmental management, ergonomics, workplace injury and worker’s compensation along with security of the Greensburg plant. This position reports to the Site Director and has the following direct reports: Environmental Services Technicians and Environmental Service Coordinator. Also has responsibility for contracted Security and Athletic Trainer personnel.
