Overview
The Client prefers someone in Nashville but the position is remote. Your Role As the Sr. Director of Pharmacy, you are the senior leader responsible for pharmacy-related health plan operations including PBM oversight, formulary strategy and development, and Part D drug cost. This role will work collaboratively with other health plan functions such as population health, utilization management and quality to ensure coordination and alignment of the pharmacy benefit with the needs of the patient and organization. Required Skills: •You have a doctorate or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy •You have 5+ years of progressively responsible healthcare administration experience •You have a strong comprehension of Medicare Part D, Stars and PBM oversight •You have quantitative skills for statistical analysis and budget assessment •You have strong comprehension of pharmaceutical therapies and are focused on quality of life for your patients Essential Functions: •Provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Benefit Administrator (PBM) to ensure the pharmacy benefits, formulary and network are accurate •Ensure regulatory compliance of all functions delegated to the PBM including formulary design, network access, transition policies and communication materials •Utilize pharmacoeconomic analysis to design a formulary that optimizes competing treatment options based on costs and patient outcomes •Work cross-functionally to develop strategies that coordinate the pharmacy and medical benefit •Assist in the development and rollout of pharmacy-related quality and Stars initiatives •Develops budgets, policies and procedures to support the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher

- Healthcare Administration
- Medicare Part D
- Stars
