Senior Project Manager

Overview

Required skills and experience: 1. Four-year college or university degree, preferably in information technology, healthcare, project management or related field; and minimum of six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 2. Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements 3. Intermediate understanding of healthcare implementation. 4. Superb leadership capabilities with a track record of successfully completing large, complex projects 5. Excellent organizational skills 6. 3+ years of healthcare experience 7. Experience working with healthcare technology solutions 8. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations involving PHI and HITECH preferred 9. PMP or CSM or related Certification preferred 10. Full end-to-end implementation with external customers experience is required in the healthcare data and billing side of the house. Maintain a high level of communication with team members, internal management, applicable internal/external departments, contractors, and all other project interfaces to ensure accurate project status and clear work assignments 3. Generate, maintain, and use key project documents, status reports, and change documents 4. Create proposals, statements of work, designs, plans, schedules, requirements, and manage the development phases of projects 5. Assist in the development and execution of internal test plans confirming the solution's adherence to the requirements 6. Understand and ensure that all project decisions are congruent with business goals and objectives 7. Lead groups to perform research, requirements analysis, design, and development and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget 8. Participate in and contribute to the continual process improvement initiative 9. Assist clients with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities as needed 10. Mentor and train junior colleagues including evaluation of performance and making recommendations to management 11. Help identify and interview future project managers by contributing to the interview and selection process 12. Evaluate the readiness of a project team or organization and then recommend the related training required to ensure the effective application of project management and leadership principles

Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

• 2+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • end-to-end implementation

  • worked with a vendor or as a vendor for a healthcare company
