Overview

The Program Therapist will be part of a compassionate team of professionals providing high quality care to patients in a comforting, yet fun environment. Our team is extremely collaborative with one another and the patients and their families seeking to optimize the therapeutic value our patients receive while in our care. Job Functions • Provides direct-care services to patients including individual, group and family sessions. Serves as a primary therapist to assigned patients and their families. • Interviews patients and family members to develop a complete psychosocial assessment. Obtains information about patient history, health and level of functioning. • Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment plans and updates. • Works with patients and families to prepare solid aftercare plans, including referrals to community agencies and other professionals as needed. • Complete and maintain accurate records of services provided and ensure documentation in the patient charts in a timely manner. • Ensures program functions within requirements established by the Joint Commission and other state and federal agencies. • Remains knowledgeable of current trends related to behavioral healthcare by participating in professional organizations, reviewing current literature and communicating with representatives of other facilities. • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with organization policies. • Other duties as assigned Required Education and/or Experience Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related mental health field required. Licensure LCSW, LPC, LMFT Experience Minimum of 1 year experience in psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills; Trauma Informed Care preferred. Skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload; Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing preferred. What you need to know: In-patient hospital setting. 1 Year Facility Experience Preferred. Working with Pediatric and Adolescents. Interview process: Pre-Screen 1:1 w/ HR (In-Person Preferred, On Camera if Zoom) Executive Review

Qualifications

Required
  • Master's degree or higher
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas (TX)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas (TX)
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas (TX)
