Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The RN is responsible to the Clinical Manager for the assigned Department. Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Current licensure in good standing in the state of practice, and all other states where license is held * Evidence of 1 year of nursing experience in specialty within the past two years * Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc. * Evidence of BLS and all additional required credentials specific to nurse specialty and as designated by health care organization. Performs routine nursing work. Work involves providing for the assessment, care and treatment of patients. May train others. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager IV. The Unit RN II may assign nursing responsibilities to the Unit LVN in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The responsibility of the Unit RN is to provide for and supervise the professional nursing care of the individuals who reside in a state supported living center setting. The Unit RN is available to unit personnel to make nursing decisions on a 24-hour basis. She/he is a member of the professional team and shares responsibility with other team members for the development of the individual’s program. Work involves communication skills, i.e. relaying information to other team members, physicians, nurses; data entry, documentation, completing reports, maintaining personnel records, supervisory duties, and following all facility rules/policies. Qualifications

Required
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Valid American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS)
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Med-Surg
    • LTAC
