  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Med-Surg
    • LTAC

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing the individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assigned team members. The RN is responsible to the Clinical Manager for the assigned Department. Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Current licensure in good standing in the state of practice, and all other states where license is held * Evidence of 1 year of nursing experience in specialty within the past two years * Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc. * Evidence of BLS and all additional required credentials specific to nurse specialty and as designated by health care organization. •The Unit RN is available to unit personnel to make nursing decisions on a 24-hour basis. •RN will work various fill 12-hour shifts in new housing areas patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit Nurse. •Provide manage medical care for patients, psychiatric treatments, address medical emergency, administer orders, nursing assessment, treatments and observations. •Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency procedures and emergency equipment. •Implements and monitors case management service plans. •Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives. •Other duties will be assigned accordingly as needed. Schedule: Full-time RN 8 - 12 hours rotating shifts to meet staffing needs Sunday - Saturday (OT upon approval from Unit Director) Address: Denton State Supported Living Center 3980 State School Rd.
