Staff Accountant

Who are we looking for? We are looking for a Staff Accountant to help manage our general accounting and financial processes. In this role, you will be responsible for a combination of daily accounting tasks, inventory cost accounting, and sales analytics administration. The Staff Accountant will ultimately help ensure that our company’s finances run smoothly. This position is located in Bloomington, MN and will require a few days in the office each week and the rest can be work from home or wherever else in the world you can find a solid internet connection. Job Duties & Responsibilities: • Maintain and update accounting records and files • Assist with month, quarter and annual close process • Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger • Inventory cycle counts • Vendor reconciliations •Act as a service center for building reports from Netsuite • Assist the Sales Team with sales analytics, dashboards, forecasting and administration • Assist with sales tax filing requirements • Prepare documents for audits • Address accounting inquires from other departments • Other duties as assigned Required Skills & Abilities: • Strong collaboration, analytical, and communication skills • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally within an organization • Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge required • Previous functional experience with ERP systems required - bonus points for Netsuite • Basic to intermediate cost accounting skills • Sales Analytics experience preferred, but willing to learn is a plus. • Attention to detail • Startup experience or knowledge of what a startup entails is looked upon favorably Education & Experience: • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance • 2-4 years of accounting experience • Professional certifications like CPA are looked upon favorably Travel: • Less than 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Is your degree in Accounting or Finance?
• Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) (2+ years)

• Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
