This position is for a licensed counselor or social worker who supports the mission of “Saving Lives, Instilling Hope and Restoring Relationships” in an integrated team with patients receiving counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment. The Counselor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care. - Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice. - Provide patient education. - Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration. - Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction. - Act as a clinic resource and assure compliance with HIPPA and CFR42 Part 2 regulations. Requirements EDUCATION: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, and/or Substance Abuse Treatment EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above. CASELOAD INFO: A full caseload for one of our Counselors typically falls between 125 – 150 patients per month. Patients are all on individual treatment plans which means some people are seen weekly, some bi-weekly, and some monthly. Counselors see patients in the clinic setting. No “home visits” or see anyone outside of the clinic. Qualifications

Required
  • Master's degree or higher
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia (VA)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia (VA)
  • Human Services (1+ years)
